As Thanksgiving has past, I have thought about many of the things I am thankful for—things that people in many countries may not necessarily enjoy:
-family
-career
-safe home to live in
-friends
-financial opportunities!
Gratitude is the beginning of success, and if you have ever read the book “The Secret”, that is a central message. Often when my day isn’t going as planned, I remind myself to be thankful. As hokey as this may sound, I write an inspirational message on my styrofoam cup every day at work. It reminds me to stay centered on the truly important things in life. The crabby customer I just spoke with is NOT worthy of my negative attention, but remembering to be thankful helps me get through my day.
