One of the most difficult things we can do in life is forgiving other people. Author Brian Tracy said something about this subject, and the application of this quote can be very challenging. Here’s what he said:

“Forgive everyone who has ever hurt you in any way. Let it go.”

Of course that is much easier said than done. All of us have been hurt by someone else, whether it was emotionally, financially, or even physically. Some of those wounds never seem to go away. After all, it is part of our past and it can be difficult to forget. But now it’s part of who we are, and it represents an opportunity to become even more than we already are.

Some may say that the best response is revenge, but you know what? If you’ve been wronged and decide to pay them back in kind, then THEY feel wronged and feel like they need to do unto you all over again…and the cycle never ends.

Just let it go…however difficult it may be. Letting go can be very freeing, and it can be the key to releasing a bunch of baggage in your life whatever it may be.

In fact, I had a guest on my show a few weeks ago named Dave Blanchard who wrote an amazing book called “Today I Begin A New Life.” His book addresses this very subject in depth. You can go to my show site www.successprofilesradio.com to listen to the podcast, which aired May 7, 2012. You can also click the banner on that site and get the book for yourself and read it. I definitely recommend it.

So, What Do You think?

If we want to move forward and reach our potential then it requires forgiving our self and others. Great reminder.
